Bradley Walsh has securing a six-figure deal to host Blanket Blank – making him the UK’s second best-paid presenter after Ant and Dec.
The presenter will head the show which was last seen for one year on ITV in 2001 after previously screening for 15 series on the BBC, starting in 1979.
Bradley’s accounts show an increase of £11.5million – a rise of £9.5million in the previous 12 months – and mean he now only earns less than Ant and Dec.
It means he now also earns more than Graham Norton, Phillip Schofield and Gary Lineker.
A source told The Sun: “Bradley regularly polls internally as one of ITV’s most liked stars. Viewers adore him, and he can turn his hand to pretty much any form of broadcasting.
“When it comes to taking on new work, he can basically name his price.”
Bradley, who also fronts The Chase, shares his earnings with son Barney, 22, the firm’s director and his wife Donna who is the secretary.
Ant and Dec were previously Britain’s best-paid stars after raking in a combined £8.6million last year.
Bradley Breaking Dad series filmed with Barney has recently been given a boost after being handed a prime-time BBC1 Saturday night show alongside Holly Willoughby.
The star, a footballer for Brentford as a youngster, has also acted in Doctor Who and Coronation Street.
Bradley risked getting on the wrong side of US rapper Kanye West on an episode of The Chase this week.
Contestant Emily was playing against Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan this afternoon when Bradley asked a question about Kim Kardashian’s husband.
He read: “What Kanye West song begins: ‘She takes my money when I’m in need, yeah she’s a trifling friend indeed’?”
The three possible answers were Strong, Heartless or Gold Digger.
Emily correctly answered Gold Digger and later belted out a rendition of the hit song to show Bradley how the track went.
After singing a few words, Emily said to the presenter: “You know.”
Bradley replied: “No, I don’t know. I’ve got to be honest with you, I’d rather eat my own feet then listen to that.”
A giggling Emily was delighted to answer the question correctly, but so did The Vixen.
Showing off her knowledge, Bolton brainiac Jenny said: “Those lines are actually sung by the actor Jamie Foxx in that song.”
Earlier this month Bradley was was stumped when a question about the West End came up on the show, realising he had misread the query.
Contestant Mike was in the hot seat, facing Chaser Mark Labbett in the hopes of bringing home some nifty winnings.
