Britain's Got Talent viewers claim to have worked out 'obvious' magic trick

Following a magic trick on Saturday night’s Britain’s Got Talent, eagle-eyed viewers are adamant they’ve “exposed” the secrets of the performance.

Magical Bones, real name Richard Essien, appeared on the programme, filmed at the London Palladium, and shocked the judging panel and the live audience with a head-scratching double twist during an illusion.

The mind-boggling act featured the performer disappear from the stage only for him to then reappear right beside Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and a stunned David Walliams.

During the skit, one of the assistants was placed into a glass box, and he covered said box with a curtain only for her to be replaced by a second assistant – and not by Richard as initially thought.

Fans of the show quickly took to Twitter claiming they know how he managed to get to the judging panel, with some claiming the trick was “obvious”.

Other viewers believed Richard had seemingly gone behind the curtain before it was pushed to the side of the stage by his two assistants.

And one eagle-eyed person claimed they could see his shoes “walking” off the stage.

One wrote: “Walked off stage behind the curtain as it was moved, never went near the box. During his speech just before, the two girls swapped behind the curtain, wouldn’t require all swords to be removed again.”

“That magician. Nope not having it. When he put his hood up and went behind the curtain, he then walked off with that curtain in front of him. Giving him time to walk around to the audience to then appear there…” another chipped in.

While a third remarked: “You could literally see his shoes walking as they pulled the curtain away.

“He walked off stage behind the curtain when they moved it to the back of the stage. A bit obvious,’ a fourth added.

The act started when a lady was placed into a box full of swords which was then covered in a curtain.

Magical Bones, wearing a red hoodie at the time, walked behind the curtain, but out of the other side came the woman who was in the box.

Only seconds later, the curtain was pulled back revealing that Magical Bones was now in the box.

However, in a sudden twist, when his assistants opened the box, it wasn’t Magical Bones at all – it was another woman.

The act finished when she pointed to Simon and he turned around to revel Magical bones was standing behind him.

Britain’s Got Talent airs on ITV at 8pm on Saturday
