Carol Vorderman got stuck in a lift while broadcasting her radio show yesterday ahead of the Wales v France Six Nations match.
The former I’m A Celebrity contestant, 59, told listeners of her BBC Radio Wales show she was stuck in a tiny elevator in Cardiff’s Angel Hotel with six people, including Welsh rugby legend Ian Gough on Saturday.
Speaking into the broadcasting equipment the production crew had its them the presenter explained her situation, locking inside the lift with a “random Frenchman”.
Following the ordeal Carol took to Twitter to share the comedic moment tweeting: “We got stuck in the lift.. Omg…”
“We had to do our last radio link live from the stuck lift…Just hilarious…me and Ian Gough, and a random Frenchman…’

“We were there for 40 minutes…omg cried laughing…so hot Goughy started stripping.”
She shared a video of the incident on social media with the caption: “Radio show. Me and Goughy (Wales Rugby legend), broadcasting live from a stuck lift… (6 of us in the lift…my mate Jules got her camera out)”
Former Countdown star Carol continued the show nonetheless and managed to complete the radio link before escaping the lift, which was deemed out of order.

During the clip, Carol told listeners: “So yeah if the manager of the Angel Hotel is listening to this can you help us? Get a tin opener or something. Because it’s only a small lift too.”
“You couldn’t write this this is great.”
Carol bursted into fits of laughter in the small space after failing to make conversation with the Frenchman.

Realising they may have over-weighed the lift, Carol joked: “How many rugby players can you get into a lift at the Angel Hotel? Not that many and make it work, but there we go.”
Despite being stuck in the lift the presenter still remembered to thank Cardiff arms Park Male Voice Choir for their performance, which Carol described has emotional.
After the ordeal, Carol went on to watch the Six Nations Wales v France rugby match, which saw Wales lose 27-23 at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
