Casualty and Holby City to crossover as Max questions Connie and Jacob

Casualty and Holby City will air a crossover episode this weekend as CEO of the hospital Max will pay a visit to the emergency ward.

Show spoilers have revealed that sparks will fly between Jacob and Connie as they receive a visit from Max.

The episode will see Jacob clash with his old flame Connie in tense scenes after she cancelled nurses’ training in favour of the doctors’.

Clinical nurse manager Jacob did not take the news well, and his bad mood worsens after he is assigned a task by Max, the CEO of the hospital, who visits from the Darwin Ward.

Connie then attempts to keep Jacob quiet during a board meeting, but he’s unable to stay silent as he exposes her plans.

He blurts out that Connie is planning to give the exact same privileges to both nurses and doctors.

Things then turn heated as they have a huge row in Connie’s office, but their rage turns to passion as they re-ignite their old flame with a steamy kiss.

The characters split up back in 2016 and fans have been begging for them to reunite once more, but will they?

Casualty is airing it’s final episode this weekend, with the show taking an ‘extended break’ due to running out of episodes.

The BBC has confirmed that the show is taking some time off, with filming reportedly suspended until next month.

Holby City has aired its final episode ‘for a while’, but filming has started up again for the medical drama.

The BBC show’s official Twitter shared a statement with their 61.7k followers, breaking the disappointing news.

It said: “We’ll be off air for a while after tonight’s episode. We’re already filming again and will be back later in the year!”, adding a blue heart to the end of their tweet.

Casualty airs Saturday evenings on BBC One.
