Cat Deeley has revealed how she moved back to the UK after 14 years in the US after her husband Patrick Kielty and son Milo, four, were caught up in a mall shooting.
The television presenter has put her Beverly Hills mansion up for sale to move back to London with her husband, fellow presenter Patrick Kielty, 49, and their two young kids.
The TV presenter has told how part of her reason for leaving the US was that the pair had to be evacuated from the Century City Mall in LA during a “terrifying” shooting, which left them “shaken”.
The pair had to leave the mall through fire exits to get to their car after FBI agents announced there was a shooter on the loose.
The SM:TV presenter, 43, said: “I got a call from Paddy, saying, ‘They’re taking us out through the fire exits but nobody can get to their car. If we walk to a junction, can you come and get us?’.

“He wanted to keep Milo calm, so I didn’t understand the enormity of what was happening.
“It makes me go funny now. It was terrifying… Paddy was shaken by it, more than Milo, who was hot and cranky but didn’t properly understand.”
Cat also revealed when she rushed to pick up the pair and began to see helicopters, news vans, firemen and SWAT teams.
Cat added the risk of a shooting had also unnerved her when looking at school for Milo.

She said when she was with a friend looking at potential schools for Milo she had to ask the question nobody wants “What do you do if there is a live shooter on the premises?”.
Cat said when she was told that kids would go to a safe room or hide under the desks – “the danger suddenly became a reality”.
Cat and Patrick put their four-bed mansion on the market for a whopping $4,995,000 last month.

It is believed Cat, 43, will be marking her return to the UK by reuniting with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for a special SM:TV Live reunion episode.
SMTV Live ran from 1998 until 2003 spanning over 270 episodes.
According to reports, the trio of Saturday morning legends will get back together for a special one-off to celebrate Ant and Dec’s 30 years on television.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes reckon it’s quite likely, giving the blonde bombshell odds of 6/1 to appear on the BBC dancing competition in 2020.
