Catherine Tyldesley tipped to 'replace Holly Willoughby on Celebrity Juice'

Former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley could replace Holly Willoughby on Celebrity Juice, according to reports.

Holly dropped the jaws of Celebrity Juice’s fans when she revealed she was stepping down as a captain on the show after 12 years.

And now bombshell Catherine, who played barmaid Eva Price in Corrie, has thrown her hat into the ring as a potential contender to replace her.

Apparently ITV bosses have shortlisted the stunning actress, 36, – describing her as an “ideal replacement” – and Catherine is believed to have said she is “up for it”.

A source told The Sun: “Cath is brilliant fun, naturally very sharp and witty, and already has chemistry with Keith as they’re pals.

“She’s also got a girl next door appeal, much like Holly.

“Producers have got a short list of around eight stars, and Cath is very much up. For her part, she has told pals she would be up for it.”

It is thought that fellow Coronation Street alumni Michelle Keegan is also in the running to join the panel.

Catherine previously made an appearance on Celebrity Juice.

The show’s host, outlandish funnyman Keith Lemon said he was unsure about the future of the show after Holly’s departure.

He also said he reckons Holly and former captain Fearne Cotton left Celebrity Juice because they ‘grew up’.

On Hello’s Instagram show he hinted that he could be calling time on the show.

He said: “It’s a lot of meetings. I’m probably supposed to say it’s meant to come back, lead with positive words but we’ve got to get it right, the next phase has to be right I guess.”

“Everyone keeps asking me who the new captain is but I don’t know what the future of Celebrity Juice is at the moment, it’s a lot of meetings.=”
