Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins winner Lauren Steadman has said she’d rather do the gruelling intense course ten times over than do Strictly Come Dancing again.
The 27-year-old Paralympian triathlete was announced as co-winner of the challenging Channel 4 show alongside Rudimental DJ Locksmith.
After making it to the end of the tough challenge, she said she’d rather do it 10 times over than do the BBC dancing competition again.
Lauren was partnered with professional dancer AJ Pritchard back on Strictly back in 2018.
She said after the show final: “I’d rather do SAS ten times than go back and do Strictly.
“I loved doing both and on Strictly it was about being proud of who I am and inspiring people — I got to be a beautiful, glitzy, glamorous girl.

“But I wanted to show you can be girly and sporty, and SAS just resonated more with me.”
She continued telling The Sun: “I’d rather be caked in mud and sweat than fake tan and sequins — I found that tough on Strictly.”
Lauren was born with her lower right arm missing, and she revealed that she got through the tasks by embracing the pain.

The athlete said when things became to much to handle, she would tell herself that the more painful it was, the more “peachy” her bum would be.
She explained: “I remember there was one point when we were climbing a hill, with canoes on our backs, and were in agony.
“I kept thinking, ‘The more this hurts, the peachier my bum is going to be — and a stronger bum means I’ll be really strong for the Tokyo Paralympics’.

“In a strange way I loved being in pain on SAS because the ability to withstand it is what allows you to go further than the next person and that’s what gets you on the podium.”
Lauren, who was “Recruit No7” on the show, was a huge inspiration to viewers, including a little girl who also has her lower arm missing.
Lauren said: “Her dad got in touch to say there was one part where Ant said, ‘No7 is by far our fittest, strongest recruit’, and the next day the girl said, ‘Daddy, can I have my bike out, please?’ — and she’s ridden every day since.
“I wanted to show anybody with disability that you can really push yourself.”
