While most dream of marrying a Prince or Princess and ruling over a country, this is only but a dream for most.
Royals famously marry into other royal dynasties in order to keep blue blood circulating, but some celebrities and sports personalities have managed to break this tradition.
With American socialite Wallis Simpson arguably being the most famous celebrity to marry into royalty, winning over the heart of King Edward VIII, who later abdicated the British throne in order to marry his true love – many others have followed.
Daily Star Online has taken a look back at some of the most famous non-Royals marrying into or dating monarchy; including a Page 3 model, an actress and a supermodel.
Caroline Flack

The late Love Island host famously dated Prince Harry while he was still serving in the Armed Forces.
Speaking about their relationship in her autobiography, Flack, said that she was introduced to Harry by a mutual friend before they spent “the evening chatting and laughing”.
Sadly, their relationship was short-lived with Caroline going on to say: “Once the story got out, that was it. We had to stop seeing each other.
“I was no longer Caroline Flack, TV presenter, I was Caroline Flack, Prince Harry’s bit of rough.”
Naomi Campbell
The original supermodel won the hearts of millions when she graced magazine covers and catwalks across the world.
So it comes as no surprise that Naomi Campbell also reportedly won the heart of Prince Albert II of Monaco.
It is reported the pair met at Cannes Film Festival in 1995 before enjoying a string of dates that summer, including a trip to Paris to see the Stones play a sold-out show.
Prince Albert also flew to London to see Naomi before asking the icon to attend the Red Cross Ball in Monte Carlo with him.
However, things soon came to an end with Naomi later dating Leonardo DiCaprio and Prince Albert marrying Olympian Charlene Wittstock.
Caroline Stanbury
One of the original “IT” girls and star of ITV’s Ladies of London, its clear to see how Caroline Stanbury won the heart of this prince.
The blonde bombshell dated Prince Andrew in 2000, shortly after his split from Sarah, The Duchess of York.
It’s reported that Andrew even took Caroline to a swanky Martha’s Vineyard Gala, which was also attended by Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Despite splitting, allegedly due to press attention, it appears the two remained friends with Caroline frequently commenting on Sarah’s Instagram snaps.

Peep Show’s Big Suze hit headlines when it was announced she was marrying into the British Royal Family.
The actress met her party-loving husband, Lord Frederick Windsor in 2007 while on a night out.
Claudia Winkleman’s sister went on to get engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2009 before marrying in a lavish royal wedding ceremony held at Hampton Court Palace in September 2009.
However, the 39-year-old bombshell opted not to use her new Royal title, Lady Frederick Windsor and kept her own name for work purposes.
She has since gone on to star in an Oscar-nominated film, Love Live Long.
They are currently 49th in line to the throne, behind his dad Prince Michael of Kent – the Queen’s first cousin.
Sofia Hellqvist
Swedish Page 3 model Sofia Hellqvist shot to fame after posing topless – with nothing but a snake covering her ample assets for Swedish lads’ mag Slitz.
She later went on to be labelled Miss Slitz 2004.
After shooting to fame as a lads’ mag girl, she landed a TV role in 2005, appearing on Swedish reality show Paradise Hotel before being booted off during the final.
The brunette babe met Prince Carl Philip of Sweden in 2010 after being introduced by a mutual friend after Sofia returned to Sweden following a stint in New York.
Sofia and Prince Carol announced their engagement in June 2014 and married in June 2015. They have gone on to have two children.
The former model is now known as Princess Sofia, Duchess of Värmland.
