Celebrity Masterchef fans were left disappointed during tonight’s show as they complained about the BBC ‘s celeb line-up.
The loveable cooking show returned tonight for its first episode but fans instantly rushed to Twitter to complain after the stars were revealed, with many deeming them “unrecognisable”.
It featured Death in Paradise’s Shyko Amos, football legend John Barnes, comedian Judi Love, Rak-Su singer Myles Stephenson and former The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner.
Rushing to Twitter, a few eagle-eyed fans pointed out that all of the stars were also wearing name tags, which featured just their first name.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Why do ‘celebs’ need name tags?”

A second said: “Do they usually make the ‘celebrities’ wear name badges?”
“Apart from John Barnes, who the hell are these people?”, said another.
“I don’t recognise a single celeb tonight,” tweeted a fourth.
One more commented: “Googling Masterchef contestants… apart from John Barnes… could of sworn he’s been on the show before tho!”

However, not all of the fan reaction was negative as many fell in love with the line-up as the show went on.
Following Thomas’ laddish charm, Judi’s hilarious jokes and a lot of tasty looking food, fans started praising the show.
One said: “The diversity on Masterchef, we love to see it!”
“Loving the show as it goes on. A funny bunch,” said another.

The show saw the stars take to two high-end restaurants in London to serve up customers for the day.
From cooking octopus and carrying out intense non-stop cooking in some of the busiest kitchens in the big city, it certainly proved tiring for the celebs.
Celebrity MasterChef continues next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC.
