CBBC star Michael Underwood revealed on This Morning this week that he had ditched his TV job for a career change.
The 44-year-old appeared on the show along with his wife Angellica Bell, promoting their new 500 Words writing competition, themed around the Black Lives Matter movement.
However, as well as talk about that, the star revealed he had become a teacher after TV work ‘dried up’.
As well as Michael, many other stars have ditched the limelight to get jobs out of the public eye.

These include favourites from the likes of TV hits such as Coronation Street, and Hollyoaks.
Katie Jarvis

It was revealed back in October 2019 that EastEnders star Katie Jarvis was working at discount store B&M Bargains.
The 28-year-old’s career change comes after her character of the BBC soap, Hayley Slater, went off-screen in February last year, with her exit confirmed by soap bosses two months later.
Fans were left wondering why popular character, who had been at the heart of the soap’s big Christmas storyline, had disappeared.
And although that mystery has yet to be solved, it has been revealed what mum-of-two Katie did after.
Kevin Kennedy

Kevin, 58, played Coronation Street favourite Normal ‘Curly’ Watts for 20 years on the soap.
He then went on to have a music career and star in the West End.
However, after struggling with alcoholism, Kevin now works alongside his wife on a social enterprise which helps people recovering from addictions.
Jeremy Edwards

Jeremy portrayed Kurt Benson in Hollyoaks from 1995 to 1999, and also starred as Danny Shaughnessy in Holby City.
He then came fourth on Celebrity Big Brother in 2005 and he competed in Dancing On Ice in 2009.
Jeremy has been seen on X Factor: Celebrity over the past few weeks, however nowadays, he usually works as a gardener and has also worked as a security guard.
Adele Silva

The beauty played Kelly Windsor in ITV soap Emmerdale from 1993-2011.
She also had a short stint in Hollyoaks, where she played Angela Brown.
However, Adele quit soaps and decided to move to to Hollywood to pursue an acting career in the US. But in 2017, she was spotted working as a shop assistant in clothing store Ted Baker.
Gemma Merna

The 35-year-old was known for playing the glamorous Carmen McQueen on Hollyoaks between 2006-2014.
In 2007, she won Best Comedy Performance in 2007 at the British Soap Awards. And she was also nominated for Best Female Soap Actress at the 2007 National Television Awards.
However, Gemma now works as a yoga instructor and personal trainer.
Sean Wilson

Sean was known for playing Martin Platt in Coronation Street from 1985-2005.
He also had roles on Casualty and Waterloo Road. However Sean trading in acting to become a cheese-maker, now running his own company Saddleworth Cheese Company.
His Wikipedia page reads: “Sean’s interest in cheese developed from an early age, and by the age of 13 he simply couldn’t get enough of the stuff.
“He attributes much of his interest to his uncles, Gordon Zola, and Phil O’Delphia.”
