An unearthed clip of Marvel ‘s Chadwick Boseman breaking down while talking about terminally ill children has gone viral after the star died from cancer.
At what appeared to be a premiere of some kind for Black Panther, Chadwick spoke in front of a microphone about how he had been trading letters with kids who were battling cancer.
But the star, who’s family announced in the early hours of this morning that he has died following a secret cancer battle of his own, broke down towards the end of his emotional speech as he revealed the two children died before they got to see his hit film, Black Panther.
Opening his speech in the video which has gone viral on Twitter after a fan reshared it, he said: “These kids recently passed from cancer.”

He continued: “Throughout our filming I was communicating with them. knowing that they were both terminal.
“What they said to me and what their parents said was that they were trying to hold on until this movie comes out. And to a certain degree you hear them say that and you’re like, ‘wow, that’s like, I gotta get up and go to the gym and go to work, I gotta work on these lines and this accent’.”
He continued by saying it inspired him to see how “dedicated” his cast mates were.
Chadwick continued: “To some degree it’s a humbling experience because you’re like, ‘This can’t mean this much to them?’ But seeing how the world has taken this on and how it’s taken on a life of its own that they saw something great.”

He went on to explain that listening to how excited they were reminded him of how excited he got as a kid for a new movie, toy, Christmas or anything that delivered him joy.
Chadwick said: “To experience those two little boys anticipating of this movie and when I found out the day…”
The star then took a long pause as he looked down, started to cry and then took a second to catch his breath for a moment.
He went on between sniffs: “…yeah, its it means a lot.”

On Chadwick’s official Instagram account, which boasts 8.3million followers, a black and white photograph of the star was shared by likely a family member or friend which broke the news of his death.
In the caption, fans were left tearing up to hear that Chadwick had died after losing his four year battle to cancer.
The post explained how the star had been battling the disease since 2016 when he was diagnosed wth stage three colon cancer but sadly it had spread to stage four before his death.

It read: “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.
“Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. “
The post went on to include a heartbreaking tribute for the late actor.
“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much,” it read.
The tribute continued: “From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.
“It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.
“He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side.
“The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time. “
