Hollywood heartthrob Chris Evans has finally broken his silence after he was left red-faced when he accidentally posted a “d**k pic” on social media.
The actor, famed for his role as Captain America, was left recoiling in humiliation after sharing a snap of his crown jewels with his 6.1 million Instagram followers.
The 39-year-old was left wishing he had his superhero character’s shield to hide behind after the major mishap.
Chris accidentally posted a screenshot of his camera roll on Instagram, with one of the images on the screen being of his penis.
He managed to quickly delete the snap but it was up for enough time for fans to spy the explicit image.
The Marvel star finally broke his silence in the early hours of Tuesday morning after keeping quiet in the days after the blunder.
He took his opportunity in the limelight to send a very important message to his American fans.

“Now that I have your attention,” he wrote with face palm and shrugging emojis, “VOTE Nov 3rd!!!”
Before he’d reared his head to address the blunder, Chris’ famous pals jumped at the chance to rip the star.
His Marvel co-star Mark Ruffalo poked fun at Evans’ awkward gaffe, wrote on Twitter: “Bro, while Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself. See… silver lining.”
Fans were in stitches at the Hulk actor’s jibe, rushing to comment on Mark’s tweet after the embarrassing mishap.

Some provided words of comfort for Chris, writing: “Oh he has nothing to be embarrassed about.”
Another fan comforted: “I didn’t see the pic, though admittedly I Googled to ogle, but Chris, you have nothing about which to be embarrassed.
“Given the state of our country, the world, you may very well have inspired joy in people who haven’t smiled in 4 years. Chin up. Thanks, Captain America!”
A third joked: “Kinda makes you wonder what Mark is packing if he thinks that was embarrassing.”
Chris’ penis continues to be a trending topic on Twitter whilst his A list pals mock him.
