Christine McGuinness has admitted she and husband Paddy McGuinness are “full-time carers” to their three autistic children, leading the couple to struggle with fitting in date nights and time for themselves.
Her comments come after the pair revealed their three-year-old daughter Felicity has the developmental disorder earlier this month, after twins Leo and Penelope, six, were previously diagnosed.
Speaking about her children’s condition, the 31-year-old revealed the duo has become a “strong unit” for the kids, but confessed they have no time to spend with each other.
“There’s no time for us as a couple. No quality time, no date nights,” she told OK! magazine.

“Not even time to have a laugh together. We’re full-time carers and the kids come before everything.
“But we have to stay strong as a unit for our kids.”
And Christine explained the situation has made her feel incredibly isolated as she revealed she finds it hard to speak to people about her situation.

She added: “I’m the worst when it comes to telling people I’m struggling. I will never say if I’ve had a bad day and, to be honest, there’s no one I feel I can speak to.
“I just don’t feel there’s anyone in my life that I would fully trust with anything.
“And then it’s also that fear that if I get upset and let my emotions out, I won’t be able to get myself back together.”

Taking to Instagram earlier this month, the mum-of-three revealed her youngest has autism spectrum disorder and wrote the family is “in a much stronger place.
“We are able to use our experience and knowledge as power helping us to feel well prepared”.
