Confused Who Wants To Be A Millionaire fans accuse show of 'repeating question'

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire viewers flocked to Twitter this evening to accuse the iconic ITV show of repeating a question – unaware the show had already been broadcast prior to lockdown.

Unimpressed ITV viewers claimed that a question about classic novel Dracula had been asked before.

During Tuesday’s show, Ollie from Canterbury appeared in the hot seat alongside Jeremy Clarkson to try his hand at winning £1 million.

He quickly managed to race up through the questions before getting stuck at £250,000.

Reading out the all-important question, Clarkson said: “‘3 May. Bistriz. Left Munich at 8: 35pm’ are the opening words to which novel?”

Revealing the four possible answers, the car lover added: “A) Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy B) Dracula C) Heart of Darkness D) Frankenstein.”

Unfortunately for Ollie, he was left none the wiser.

After using his 50/50 he was left with A) Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and D) Dracula.

Jeremy Clarkson admitted he also did not know the answer

As he pondered the answer, many viewers at home took to Twitter to claim they had seen the question before.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “They’ve asked this question before or I’ve seen it asked somewhere else… Dracula. #whowantstobeamillionaire.”

Another added: “#WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire This Dracula question has been on before!”

Ollie ended dropping to £32,000

A third simply posted: “Dracula #whowantstobeamillionaire.”

Rather than ITV repeating questions, viewers seemed to be unaware the episode itself was a repeat due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The show initially aired in January this year but due to social distancing rules, ITV bosses have been forced to re-air hit shows as they are unable to film new episodes.

Awkwardly, Ollie didn’t know the answer and was left asking the audience who incorrectly told him it was Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
