Yasmeen Nazir finally managed to escape husband Geoff Metcalfe’s evil clutches during tonight’s visit to Coronation Street.
The vulnerable character made it out of the house during Monday’s episode, and headed straight to granddaughter Alya’s to inform her that she’s going to Zeedan’s wedding after all.
However, Yasmeen was soon left horrified when she received messages on her phone from Geoff implying that he might take his own life.
She insisted she must check on Geoff before she jetted away, and Alya agreed to go with her, and upon their arrival Yasmeen found a smashed photo frame with blood on it leaving her heartbroken.
Unbeknownst to Yasmeen, her evil husband was watching her on his mobile phone having a pint in the pub via a secret video camera.
Fans of the soap were left baffled that Yasmeen didn’t already know about Geoff’s hidden device as the villain has been making her clean their house top to bottom on a daily basis for months.
One fan penned: “Yasmeen’s cleaning must be s**t if she hasn’t found that camera after three months.”
Another added: “Can someone find the bl**dy camera.”
A third asked: “How has Yasmeen not found that camera?”
A fourth posted: “Where exactly is this unfindable camera yet it’s in such a good position that it picks up everything yet Yasmeen’s been scrubbing every inch of the house but can’t find it.”
Just as a distressed Yasmeen went to call the emergency services to help find her missing husband, Geoff walked through the door.
The vindictive character gave his wife a hug and asked if they could put all of their recent drama behind them.
Yasmeen agreed but it didn’t take long before she put her detective hat back on.
As Geoff left the house, Yasmeen secretly contacted the police and asked about finding out about Geoff’s abusive criminal history under Claire’s Law.
Viewers were overjoyed that the harrowing coercive control storyline seems to finally be coming to an end.
Is this the end of Yasmeen and Geoff?
Coronation Street continues on ITV on Wednesday at 7.30pm
