Coronation Street fans predicted Emma Brooker and Alina Pop were about to fall for one another after watching tonight’s episode.
The two friends have been caught in a love triangle in recent months, with both dating Seb Franklin at different times.
Emma (Alexandra Mardell) recently ended her relationship with Seb, convinced he was besotted with his ex-girlfriend Alina (Ruxandra Porojnicu).
This evening, Emma and Alina patched up their friendship after spending the day in their apartment, having a heart to heart.
Alina had planned to meet Seb for a drink later in the evening, determined to maintain a friendship with her bothersome ex.

Before the secretive rendez-vous, she helped to free Emma’s arm from a vase, after the bartender accidentally got her hand trapped inside.
Later, Emma received a heartbreaking phone call about her half-brother Ollie’s condition, learning he had an incurable disease.
Devastated by the news, Alina was quick to comfort her, offering her pal Emma a shoulder to cry on.

In a bold move, Alina then rang Seb and cancelled their date, determined to put her friendship with Emma first.
Watching the scene play out from home, certain viewers wondered whether a potential romance between the pals was on the cards.
