Coronation Street viewers have been dying for evil Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) to get his comeuppance for terrorising poor wife Yasmeen (Shelley King) – however it seems he’s going to continue getting away with his abuse.
That’s because Coronation Street spoilers for next week reveal that he gets back in touch with Yasmeen to try and regain the control he’s lost by her being in prison.
He applies for a prison visit, but it’s not revealed whether or not Yasmeen, who is beginning to understand the abuse she suffered at his hands, sees him or not.
Elsewhere, Geoff heads back to work at Speed Dall, much to Alya’s (Sair Khan) dismay.
Imran (Charlie De Melo) calls Alya and Geoff overhears her say she is expecting a call from her gran Yasmeen at 3.30.
When the time approaches, Geoff steals Alya’s phone for when Yasmeen calls.
Yasmeen is left horrified when she calls Alya’s phone and hears Geoff’s voice on the other end of the line.
But what will he say to her?
And how will he try to get back his control?
Elsewhere next week, it appears Geoff could be losing the support from his son Tim (Joe Duttine).
Sally (Sally Dynevor) learns about some of the abuse Geoff inflicted on Yasmeen – locking her in the magic box – and visits Yasmeen in prison.
When she tells Geoff about her visit, he flips on her, but Tim walks in to find Geoff raging at Sally.
Sally then tries to convince Tim that it’s really Geoff that is the villain in the situation – but can she make him see the truth?
It seems to be a difficult conversation for the couple, as they are still at loggerheads as the week progresses.
However Tim is left shocked again when Sally reveals that Geoff also tried to visit Yasmeen.
Will Tim finally start seeing through his dad’s innocent act?
Coronation Street continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV
