Coronation Street fans are in for a thrilling week in Weatherfield, as the soap returns to six episodes per week from Monday.
Corrie spoilers have revealed the body in the river will be identified as horrific paedophile Kel Hinchley (Joseph Alessi), leaving his former victim Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) conflicted.
In another twist, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) battles money worries, as he considers selling number eight to one of Ray Crosby’s (Mark Frost) sleazy cronies.
Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment) expresses his concerns about Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) blossoming romance with escort Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson), while Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) try desperately to save their son’s life.
Below are some of the most scandalous spoilers of the week, complete with a few heartbreaking twists and turns.
Paul’s past comes back to haunt him
Desperate to confirm his suspicions, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) heads to the police station to find out whether the body discovered in the river was Kel’s.
However, when Paul finds out Billy suspects Kel has died, he is conflicted, realising his teen abuser could be six feet under.
While Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) is delighted to learn Kel has died, Billy finds Paul drinking alone in the park, trying to numb his feelings.
Later, when the police call over to confirm Kel’s death, Paul wonders whether he has been murdered.
Paul’s question raises concerns, as in private, Billy quizzes him about his strange behaviour, clearly concerned he had a part to play in Kel’s death.
In another scene, local copper Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) reveals Kel’s death was accidental – but Paul is upset, convinced Billy suspected him of murder.
Could Kel’s death tear their relationship apart?
David is forced to make a decision
After a stint spent in the hotel, David and Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) return to number eight to face the sink hole in their back garden.
David is crushed when he puts in a call to the insurance company, and learns he is liable for the damage, amounting to a whopping £20,000 in repairs.
Later, sleazy Ray Crosby offers to sell the house on David’s behalf, claiming he has a mate who is willing to buy the property for the full price.
David is conflicted, but realises he might have to sell the house in order to survive financially.
Meanwhile, Shona tells Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) she secretly loved spending the night at the hotel, and wants to move back in with David.
As encouraging as ever, Nina urges Shona to tell David, hinting he will be delighted by the news.
When, after months of unease amid Shona’s recovery, she tells David she wants to move back in, he rips up the sale contract.
Can David and Shona make it work, or will their money troubles get the better of them?
Leanne and Steve receive tragic news
When doctors announce they plan to reduce Ollie’s sedation, Leanne is delighted, but Steve and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) privately express their concerns.
Later, it transpires they had good reason to be fearful, as doctors break the news Ollie’s condition has worsened, as his seizures go out of control.
Despite the devastating news, Leanne remains strong and insists she will do whatever it takes to save her son.
When Leanne and Steve learn a doctor in Germany specialises in treating mitochondrial disease, they are hopeful, and arrange a video call.
Meanwhile, a doctor at the local hospital reveals Ollie has reached a harrowing turning point, and his parents need to consider turning off his life support.
Desperate to reverse the situation, Leanne lies about the severity of Ollie’s condition while talking to the German specialist, and he agrees to treat him.
Steve grows concerned, as he tries to work out ways to earn enough money for Ollie’s treatment, while battling anxiety over Leanne’s lies.
Later, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) urges him to speak to Leanne, begging her to contact the doctor and explain the true scale of Ollie’s health battle.
After Steve plucks up the courage to speak to her, Leanne finally agrees, and arranges a call with the German medic.
Can Leanne save Ollie, or has his health deteriorated too severely?
Abi faces her drug demons
When Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and his son Jack leave to spend the day together, he suggests Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) and Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) should get to know one another better.
Easing Debbie’s concerns, Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) assures her Abi is a good person, leaving her feeling guilty about doubting her motives when they first met.
At the same time, Abi rings up Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and confesses her drug addiction has left her craving a fix.
Later, Abi tells Debbie the truth about her addiction, explaining Peter is coaching her while she attends Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
Peter then urges her to speak to Kevin about her addiction, as she heads for lunch with him in Speed Daal.
Though she is shaking with nerves, Abi finally confesses she stole morphine from the hospital, hoping Kevin can forgive her.
Can Kevin offer the support Abi needs to make a recovery?
Daniel’s relationship with Nicky grabs attention
Outside The Kabin, Daniel is chuffed when he runs into Nicky, and the two share a drink together.
However, when Kirk sees the two looking cosy in the corner of the bar, his suspicions are raised, as he realises Beth Tinker (Lisa George) will be furious to see Daniel moving on.
He points her out to Craig, who recognises her from somewhere – but forgets about her recent trip to the police station.
When Kirk suddenly interrupts their drink, Daniel tries to convince Nicky to return home with him for a nightcap at his place.
She refuses, confessing she has to see a client this evening, as her escort duties are calling.
Will Daniel’s romance with Nicky continue to blossom, or could he get his heart broken?
