“But it was getting weird. I was meant to be in filming, and I didn’t feel happy about it, to be honest.”
She went on to say: “I was still going to go, but everyone was scared.”
Addressing why the virus hasn’t been mentioned on the programme, the former Waterloo Road star revealed: “What we shot is eight weeks in the past before we even knew about this virus, so it’s weird when you’re watching and no one’s mentioning it.

“I know they’re trying to keep groups of filming, when we go back, as small as possible.”

“So we need to get back by the middle of June with a bit of luck otherwise it’s going to go off [the] air.
“A lot of the airlines have said that they’re going to start flying again mid-June so hopefully if that’s going to happen then we should be able to get back to work with a bit of luck, so fingers crossed.”
Daily Star Online has contacted a spokesperson for Coronation Street for comment.
