Countryfile's Helen Skelton dons swimsuit as she opens up about 'weird' summer

Countryfile presenter Helen Skelton has shared a rare insight into her life away from the cameras with her two sons Ernie and Louis and her husband, Richie.

The blonde bombshell took to her Instagram page to share a photograph with her 204,000 followers as she slipped into a swimsuit while enjoying a day at the pool.

Helen, 37, was beaming from ear-to-ear as she clung onto her son who appeared to be practising his diving skills while on a family day out at a local gym.

The former Blue Peter presenter went on to reveal how she is experiencing the “weirdest summer” during the coronavirus.

She wrote: “It’s hot then it’s not. You can’t go out, then you can, then you shouldn’t. Cancelled holidays, and avoiding places where people might go, but then everyone seems to be there anyway.

“One day at a time gang it’s a confusing time. Stay safe. Mitigation this photo was not taken today. (Before someone accuses me of being somewhere I shouldn’t).”

The mum-of-two continued: “But God bless those stolen moments in an empty pool, outside, when the sun shines. Grateful for the good times.

“Thanks, @davidlloydleeds for making it easy to stay out of people’s way and stay outside.”

“Until the next time… whenever that is,” she added.

In the snap, Helen slipped into a striking yellow swimsuit which flaunted her figure in all its glory.

She protected her peepers with a pair of oversized sunglasses.

Helen carefully held the hand of her son, Louis, three, who was sporting green reptile swimming shorts along with a shark covered life jacket as they took a dip in the crystal waters.

Fans instantly took to the comment section to praise the star, with one penning: “You couldn’t have worded it better!”

A second added: “It sure is a weird time Helen, stay safe with all your family.”

“So frustrating, roll on next year. Fingers crossed it’ll be better,” said a third.

Seeing the positive side of the lockdown, a fourth follower commented: “The blessing is you’ve been able to spend some great close time with your family!”
