Joe Swash kicked off tonight’s Dancing on Ice finale, and he impressed judges Ashley Banjo, John Barrowman, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean with his fast–paced routine.
Joe put on an incredible performance, alongside his professional partner.
He paid tribute to his friend Caroline Flack who tragically took her own life in February.
On a fake brick wall, which was part of the set for his showcase performance, was a poster, which set “Be Kind,” which Caroline had posted about on social media ahead of her tragic death.

Joe spoke about the tribute in a video shared on his Instagram page.
“Today we’re doing the showcase, and we’ve got this structure here,” he said, tapping on a fake brick wall. “I asked them if they could put the words ‘Be Kind’ on a poster.
“Obviously we lost Caroline, and we’re going to try and spread the word. We need everyone to be kinder.”
On February 16, a day after Caroline died, Joe spoke about friend Caroline Flack on Dancing on Ice.

Phillip Schofield told Joe, 38: “Well done Joe, well done tough night I know. It’s been a really tough day.”
In support of his partner, professional dancer Alex Schauman told her pal: “It was really hard tonight to do a happy routine after a tough day, so I’m really proud of him.”
The camera cut to an emotional Stacey Solomon who fought back tears as Joe said: “I just want to send my love to her family and my condolences you know.”

Phillip also got emotional right at the beginning of the programme, as he said: “We’d like to begin tonight’s show by taking a moment to remember Caroline Flack in light of yesterday’s awful news.”
