EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook has seemingly made light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic by stockpiling luxury champagne.
The TV star took to social media to tell her followers she was ‘stockpiling the Essex way’.
Danniella, 46, shared a shot of a supermarket trolly piled high with countless bottles of Veuve Clicquot costing £40 a bottle.
She wrote: “Don’t hate me I’m from Essex. This is essential quarantine supplies.”
She later added: “Ok so the people at Tesco today thought I was a crank… but I don’t eat nuggets, pot noodles or waffles.”

However, some fans were quick to point out all was not what it seemed.
The image Danniella shared was actually from a news article published in December last year.
Police offers had arrested a shoplifter at Tesco’s in West Bromwich who had filed their trolly with 50 bottles of Veuve.
Taking to Twitter, Force Response posted the picture of the trolley filled to the brink along with the caption: “#CTeamSandwell have arrested another shoplifter from Tesco West Bromwich, straight after the Trespass incident.
“He tried to run away with a trolley full of Champagne worth over £1800.”
Replying to Danniella’s post, one fan hit out: “Ain’t even your photo.”
Another added: “Strong contender for Didn’t Happen Of The Year Awards.”
