David Beckham plots major career change after finding nature in lockdown

David Beckham is set to diversify his multi million pound empire even more after falling in love with beekeeping during lockdown.

The sporting legend turned fashion icon is reported to be ‘obsessed’ with keeping bees and now plans to launch his own range of honey.

Ever the entrepreneur, Becks is said to be considering the tongue in cheeks brand names D Bee, Seven Honey and Goldenbees.

Vicotria Beckham’s hubby is reported to believe there is a gap in the market for an organic honey brand.

A source said: “Beekeeping started as a fun hobby early in lockdown.

“But now David has become a bit obsessed.

“He has all the gear, and even built a hive.”

The insider added to The Sun: “He finds it a total antidote to his mad London and Miami life.

“But David is also very smart.

“He can see the logic behind adding to his already impressive business portfolio with authentic, clean and natural brands, which is what people are after nowadays.

“This isn’t about money, though – it truly is a passion project.”

Over the past few months David has posted a string of snaps and videos online of him looking after his bees alongside his children.

As well as the launch of his football club Inter Miami, David is one of the leading sellers of celebrity aftershave.

His latest perfume Bold Instinct is currently the UK’s top-selling aftershave.

David also is a partner and face of Haig Club whisky.

David’s net worth is said to be in excess of £400 million.

Earlier this summer reports claimed that Posh and Beck’s are set to splash some of their wealth on their son Brooklyn Beckham.

The iconic couple are reported to have offered to buy Brooklyn and his fiancé Nicola Peltz a home as a lavish wedding present.

An insider claimed: “Victoria and David have offered to buy the house which will be seen as a wedding gift.

“It’s incredibly generous but they are like any other proud parents who want to help as much as they can.

“Brooklyn is eyeing up properties in East London but nothing is off limits.”
