Denise Van Outen’s brother has been convicted of beating up his wife, leaving her fearing for her life.
Terence Outen, 47, punched Tanja and smashed her head against the wall.
The brute also grabbed a knife and clubbed her with a broom, leaving her sobbing on the floor.
She told a pal: “I thought I was going to die, I could see the rage in his eyes.” The 40-year-old was left with a swollen head, her hair began to fall out and she still suffers headaches.
Outen admitted assault when he appeared in court last month.
He was spared jail and instead given a two-year community order and banned from going near Tanja.
Thug Outen is the older brother of TV star Denise, who played a domestic violence victim in the film Indifferent.

She has also led a march to raise funds for refuge charities.
The former Big Breakfast host – who recently starred in the Masked Singer – regularly visited the couple’s house when they lived in Spain.
At the time, she said: “Reading and watching documentaries about domestic violence really opened my eyes to it – I wasn’t aware of the extent it goes on. And it made me want to do something about it.”
Tanja claims Denise has not contacted her since her brother’s conviction. She met Outen in 2005 and gave birth to their only child – a daughter who is now 10 – four years later.

The pair moved to Ibiza and married there. But in a witness statement read out in court, Tanja said she was “the target of his hand and tongue for years in Spain”.
In 2018, Tanja finally left him and moved back to the UK. But last April, when he was back in Britain, she invited him over to see their daughter.
When their chat turned to Tanja having a coffee with another man, Outen flew into a rage. She told her friend: “He threw me on to the kitchen wall. Took a broom to the back of my head.
“I was hit, punched in the face, hit in the back of the head really hard. I thought, ‘This is the end of me’.”
Luckily neighbours heard and called police. Tanja was treated in hospital for head injuries, and Outen, of Corringham, Essex was later arrested.

In a witness statement Tanja revealed her fear of Outen. She said: “I have suffered the controlling behaviour of Terence for years but been too frightened to speak up and act.”
Tanja told her friend she now hopes to encourage other victims to seek help.
Speaking of Outen’s sentence, the pal said: “There has to be more justice, and more protection, and a better result, for victims of domestic assault than this.
“He’s walking around jubilant because he didn’t end up in prison.”
Denise declined to comment.
