DJ Erick Morillo charged with sexual battery after claims he 'attacked woman'

Music DJ Erick Morillo has been arrested and charged with sexual battery after handing himself in.

The music and festival DJ was accused of attacking a woman at his home in Miami, Florida, in December last year.

The 49-year-old music producer had been working with his accuser at a private party on Star Island in December 2019, before returning to his home with another woman.

Local 10 News report a statement was given to the police, by the victim describing her account of the alleged incident

The arrest report stated that the victim told police the DJ “made several advances towards her, some sexual in nature, but she refused all of his attempts.”

In the statement, the woman detailed being intoxicated at the DJ’s home and scouted for a room to sleep alone in.

But, it was then stated in the report, the alleged victim remembered: “Waking up nude on the bed, with Mr. Morillo standing on the side of the bed also nude.”

The renowned DJ has also produced a number of tracks under a number of aliases over the years.

This includes Ministers de la Funk, The Dronez, RAW, Smooth Touch, RBM, Deep Soul, Club Ultimate and Li’l Mo Ying Yang.

More familiar to most and probably his biggest acclaim, he also produced the famous hit I Like To Move It.

He’s packed out venues in Las Vegas and also preformed at music festivals including Creamfields.
