Eamonn Holmes 'disgusts' ITV viewers as he makes grim hygiene confession

Television presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford were back on our screens tonight as the first contestants on Alan Carr’s Epic Gameshow.

The brand-new Saturday night show sees the comedian bring back classic shows such as Bullseye and Take Your Pick.

It was a battle of the celebrity husband and wife teams during tonight’s debut episode as Eamonn and Ruth took on Chris Ramsey and his other half Rosie in a game of Play Your Cards Right.

Originally hosted by Bruce Forsyth, the two couples competed against each other in a game of higher or lower.

The questions were based on surveys of 100 people.

Ruth and Eamonn, both 60, were first to guess how many of the 100 gave a certain answer to a comedic question, and Chris and Rosie had to predict whether the actual number was higher or lower than the first couple’s guess.

Alan asked the This Morning presenters how many couples secretly used their partner’s toothbrush which led to Eamonn admitting that he has used Ruth’s.

Ruth asked her hubby: “You’ve used mine haven’t you?”

Eamonn replied: “Yeah I have.”

ITV viewers rushed to their keyboards to air their disgust at the shocking revelation.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Secretly used their partner’s toothbrush… cleaned the toilet with it (on the sly) more like.”

Another added: “F***ing manky if you have used your partner’s toothbrush.”

A third ranted: “Ugh! Not the toothbrush question.”

After a triumphant first round against Chris and Rosie, Eamonn and Ruth went on to play against former Strictly Come Dancing champion Ore Oduba and his wife Portia.
