EastEnders viewers went into social media meltdown, after tonight’s episode of the soap saw Lola Pearce have sex with Peter Beale.
She slept with Peter after turning down her boyfriend Jay Brown’s proposal.
Lola is also pregnant with Jay’s baby, and she plans to have an abortion.
Fans flocked to Twitter, unable to contain their shock at the sex bombshell.
One said: “‘I ruined everything!’ Yes you have Lola. You dumped Jay, turned down his proposal and slept with Peter Beale! Jay loves and adores you.”
While another wrote: “Lost respect for Lola.”

A third tweeted: “Hope Jay doesn’t take Lola back after what she’s done! Might not have been together anymore but she didn’t need to fall into bed with her closest ex.”
Fans were left devastated for Jay after Lola turned down his proposal.
After she rejected him, Jay brought up Lola’s flirty chat with Peter which he watched from afar.
He shouted at her saying: “Why don’t you run off and have his kids?”

Lola hit back: “Well if you want a baby so bad, maybe I’m not the right person for you.”
Some fans even think Peter is the father of Lola’s baby, and hotbed may have been having a secret affair.
One posted: “Lola’s 2nd baby daddy is Peter, calling it.”
Another joked: “Jay saying to Lola why don’t you go off with peter and have his babies…awkward.”

Despite many fas enraged at Lola’s action, plenty of viewers jumped to the character’s defence.
