EastEnders fans in tears as Mick and Linda 'drown' in Titanic-themed plot

EastEnders left fans horrified last night after dramatic scenes saw Linda and Mick’s lives in danger.

Their future looked murky as the pair were trapped while on their Thames boat party. With water rising around them, their lives were under threat in dramatic scenes.

The couple have been going through turmoil after Linda’s drinking problem, with the couple even signing divorce papers.

A drunken Linda accused Mick of cheating with Whitney while they were on the boat, and Mick attempted to find her.

Tragedy struck when the boat began to sink and Linda had her ankle trapped while in the ship’s kitchen.

A terrified Mick ran to save his wife, but the pairs attempts to escape the icy Thames water proved difficult.

Linda was panicking and shouting that she “didn’t want to die”.

She told Mick he had to leave her, saying: “You have to go. Think of Ollie.” The terrified character said to her beau: “Nancy, Shirley, Johnny… they all need you!”

Fans flocked to Twitter, reduced to tears at the moving Titanic-esque scenes.

One said: “Mick and Linda got me crying here.”

While another wrote: “That episode was like watching a film! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
