Maisie Smith is already preparing to take over the reins of the Albert Square boozer, The Queen Vic, following in the footsteps of EastEnders matriarch, Peggy Mitchell.
Despite only being 18, Maisie is already eyeing up the prospect of screaming the famous line: “Get out of my pub!”
The firey-redhead believes that she will live up to the legendary standards created by Dame Barbara Windsor as he has the key personality traits of two of the most loyal landladies, Peggy – played by Dame Barabra Windsor and Shirley Carter, played by Linda Henry.
Speaking to The Sun, Maisie said: “There would be a lot of pressure. All of the landlords are such iconic characters on the show and I’d have to live up to the hype.

“But I would love to give it a go and I think I’d do a good job. It’s a big aim for me. I’ve got the sass of Peggy and the roughness of Shirley. I’d be perfect.”
The 18-year-old star joined the cast of EastEnders aged just six portraying the role of Bianca Jackson and Ricky Butcher’s cheeky daughter.
Although many of the young EastEnders cast members of waved goodbye to the square in favour of a career in Hollywood – with Ben Hardy going on to sign a leading role in Bohemian Rapsody but this is something Smith has ruled out.

The red-head aspires to have her life played out on the BBC soap in a similar style to June Brown who plays the chain-smoking Dot Branning.
“That would be quite cool, wouldn’t it? To have my entire life shown on EastEnders. If I started and ended my career like Dot, that’s pretty iconic. It’s definitely the goal.

“But I’m only young, you know – EastEnders might not even want me next year. Who knows? But if ever I did leave I’d want to come back because it’s a lovely show to be on.”
Smith got her big break aged four, starring alongside Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson in the Hollywood film, The Other Boleyn Girl.
EastEnders airs Monday and Tuesday’s on BBC One at 7.30pm.
