EastEnders star teases new romance for Whitney Dean amid kidnap trauma

Despite being caught up in a kidnap storyline with Leo King’s mum Michaela, EastEnders’ Whitney could be set to embark on a new romance upon her return to the square.

Whitney is currently being held captive by Michaela, who is convinced that Whitney killed her son Leo King on purpose – despite Whitney acting in self-defence.

Leo died after Whitney stabbed him during a bust-up following months of stalking.

He hid in the attic of her home that she shares with Sonia, creeping on her every move.

Despite previously being unlucky in love, it seems as though things are set to change for Whitney.

EastEnders newcomer Isaac may have been delivered a huge blow when the secret of his real dad [Patrick] was revealed but he has revealed all about happier times on the horizon in regards to his love life.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, actor Stevie Basaula said: “I think it would be interesting to see what his relationships are like with women.

“Because of the relationship he has with his mum – it will be interesting to see how that will affect any romantic relationships he may have.”

He continued: “It would be exciting to have a love interest. Will there be one? I don’t know. I would say Louisa Lytton [Ruby], or we saw him on the boat attempt to make a move on Whitney.

“It didn’t go well for him but to be fair she did have other things on her mind, so would be interesting to see if anything could come from that situation.”

Whitney has to return to the police station as part of her bail but will she manage to escape Michaela? (Image: BBC / Kieron McCarron)

Shortly after Whitney killed Leo, she fled the square and joined her pals for a swanky party on the River Thames before eventually handing herself in to the police.

With Whitney having to go back to the police station to keep in line with her bail – will her character end up escaping from Michaela?

EastEnders airs on BBC One at 7.30pm, Monday and Tuesday.
