EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite watched her family grow this week, welcoming baby Mabel Josephine Baldwin to the clan yesterday morning.
The 49-year-old star, who played Mel Owen on the BBC One soap before her character was killed off last year, celebrated the newborn’s birth with a sweet Instagram tribute.
Little Mabel was born to Dominic Baldwin and his wife Louise, making the newborn Tamzin’s first cousin once removed.
Mabel is also related to This Morning host Holly Willoughby, born to her brother-in-law Dominic.
Sharing a snap of the baby, Tamzin said: “With death comes life and the circle keeps on keeping on.

“Welcome to the world and our wonderful family… Mabel Josephine Baldwin… you lucked out having Lou and Dom as your parents and Elsie as your sister…”
She went on: “Can’t wait to meet you after all this madness… you have a ton of aunties and uncles and cousins who can’t wait to show you the way.”
Holly was just as emotional about the little one’s birth, beaming with pride in the ITV studios as she announced the news to viewers.

She said: “I just wanted to share some lovely news with you that this morning I have a brand new niece. Mabel Josephine Baldwin.
“Daddy Dominic and mum Louise have both said thank you to the maternity unit there.”
Holly and Tamzin are distantly related themselves, though not by blood.

Dan Baldwin, who is married to Holly, is first cousins with Eastenders icon Tamzin, regularly attending parties together as part of their close-knit clan.
No doubt, once lockdown restrictions have been lifted, celebrations will be arranged to welcome the little one to the world.
