Emmerdale death horror as Vanessa 'confirms' son Johnny's fate after body found

Emmerdale ‘s Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) was held hostage by the evil Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather) for over a week as he plotted to win his ex Rhona back.

The Emmerdale cast member had been holding Vanessa in Laurel Thomas’ (Charlotte Bellamy) home, as she has travelled to Australia for her father in law Sandy’s funeral.

Previous scenes show Pierce drugging toddler Johnny to make him fall asleep and not interrupt his kidnap plot, and he hadn’t been seen for days.

As Pierce took Vanessa and Kim, who he had knocked out, to the room upstairs, she was horrified to discover he was unconscious, with his face white and large purple rings around his eyes.

Kim asked Vanessa: “What’s wrong with the boy?”

Vanessa cried, clearly thinking that her son was dead, as she said: “I don’t know he’s given him something.”

Vanessa has been locked up for over a week, and should Pierce have given Johnny the tranquilliser drug every day, there is a chance his organs could be severely damaged.

She also said that Pierce didn’t know the correct dosage to give the little boy, dropping a huge hint that he could have made him overdose.

Luckily, it was revealed that Johnny was fine in tonight’s episode, as Charity told Vanessa that he was getting fluids to help him recover.

Viewers rushed to social media to share their shock at the grisly scenes last night, as Rhona managed to drug Pierce after recording his confession about killing Graham Foster.

After convincing him that he needed to eat before they fled the village, she spiked his food with bull tranquilliser before the police arrived.

Is Pierce’s reign of terror finally over?

Let’s hope that he is finally put behind bars for good, especially for leaving Johnny in danger.

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
