Emmerdale fans were convinced Jamie Tate had undergone a transformation on tonight’s episode, suggesting a lockdown continuity error was at play.
Tonight’s episode was a combination of both old and new footage after the cast returned to filming earlier this month.
While some of the scenes – showing Andrea Tate fleeing to a hotel – were filmed back in March, others were more recent.
Jamie confronted a police officer about his wife’s disappearance this evening, begging the copper for answers.
As Jamie and the policeman stood two metres apart, and the Emmerdale regular rocked a healthy new tan, viewers were convinced the scenes were filmed more recently.
Certain viewers claimed Jamie, played by Alexander Lincoln, had lost weight, while others pointed out that he was suddenly more tanned.
Emmerdale fans suspected Jamie had lost weight during the time spent in lockdown
Taking to Twitter, Emmerdale fans chuckled over Jamie’s apparent makeover, wondering whether his character had slimmed down during the lockdown.
One said: “#emmerdale Not watched for a while, has that Jamie lost a lot of weight??”
A second added: “Looks like the stress has made Jamie lose weight. #emmerdale.”

Kim Tate (Claire King) got involved in the drama on tonight’s episode, as she tailed Leyla Harding for answers to Andrea’s whereabouts.

While Leyla acted as though she had no idea where Andrea was hiding, murderess Kim wasn’t convinced.
Her hard work paid off, as she followed Leyla to a nearby hotel, where Andrea and daughter Millie were cooped up inside.
