Former soap star Adam Thomas is turning delivery driver in order to keep his Manchester restaurant, The Spinn, afloat during the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus.
The ex Emmerdale actor runs an eatery near Manchester with his friend and business partner Scott Graham, who will also be turning to delivering meals.
Taking to Instagram, the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! runner up shared a post to the restaurant’s account explaining what would be going on.
The 31-year-old wrote: “As a team we don’t know what to say or do right now… as far as business is concerned we shall remain open until we are told not to do so.

“Because in all honesty we can not afford to close, our overheads are high and we potentially wouldn’t survive what is sure to be a difficult time for everybody in all walks of life.
“That being said, if the worse case scenario does happen we will be offering a take away service to the local community.”
The message went on: “All of our staff from our chefs to our drivers… I say drivers, it will be myself and my business partner Scott Graham will take the upmost care in handling the deliveries.”

Adam reassured customers that they are “well equipped in all aspects of food safety” but will be going the “extra mile” during this time, leaving deliveries in a designated safe space.
The actor has offered their services on Mondays to other businesses, as The Spinn is closed then.
The post read: “We would like to offer our services to anyone that needs any space to help with their own businesses at this tough time, we will open our doors for you, just let us know.”

He finished the post: “In the mean time, we salute the efforts of the Gatley community in the work already being done and please continue to look after one another, especially the elderly of our community and beyond.”
He also shared a “self isolation takeaway” menu, which will be a non-contact delivery service.
At least if people local to the restaurant can’t get groceries, they’re not going to starve.
