Emmerdale's Jamie set for 'prison twist' as Andrea 'frames him for murder'

Emmerdale fans have started speculating that Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) is going to frame her husband Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) for murder after she fled.

Jamie got the police involved after there was no sign of her, but it was revealed at the end of the episode that Andrea was staying in a hotel with their daughter.

She looked off menacingly as she listened to Jamie’s worried voicemail, and fans went to Twitter with their thoughts of what could happen next.

One wrote: “Has Andrea hid some evidence to frame the vet and his bit of fluff?”

Another said: “Has Andrea set them up? What’s going on?”

And a third tweeted: “Andrea has seemed a bit unhinged as of late. I think after Jamie ended things for good, she disappeared and is planning to get Jamie imprisoned for her ‘murder’.

“When those policemen search Jamie’s house, I think she may have planted something to implicate him.”

Someone else commented: “Andrea has done a ‘Gone Girl’ on Jamie.”

And a fifth added: “Andrea’s latest revenge plan is probably framing Belle or Jamie for her ‘kidnap’ or maybe even both?”

Frustratingly, viewers will have to wait at least three weeks to learn what’s happening.

That’s because normal storylines are being paused for three weeks to make way for some special lockdown episodes.

The number of episodes will also be going down to two per week during this time, airing on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Characters involved in the special episodes include: Marlon, Al and Ellis, Cain and Aaron, Mandy and Vinny, Nicola and Jimmy, Sam and Lydia, and Chas and Paddy.

Emmerdale will air Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm on ITV for the next three weeks
