Emmerdale's Jamie to hurt Belle Dingle as fans 'work out' sick Kim Tate twist

Emmerdale viewers were convinced they could predict the direction Jamie Tate’s illicit affair would take, as the vet snogged Belle Dingle in the barn on tonight’s episode.

Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) and Belle (Eden Taylor Draper) have been secretly romping for weeks, but things came to a head tonight when he tried to buy her silence.

It all began when Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) tried to sack Belle, before she weaselled the truth out of him – Jamie wanted her to leave the clinic.

Furious, she headed to Home Farm to confront Jamie, refusing to lose her job over their torrid affair.

As cunning as ever, Jamie offered to help her out financially in exchange for her cooperation, saying: “Don’t take me on Belle, you’ll never win.

“I’ll make you a payment, how about that? Four months salary.”

Belle snapped: “You think you can buy me off?”

Mirroring his murderess mother Kim Tate, Jamie tried to use money to get his own way, keeping their affair under wraps.

Kim (Claire King) has a long history of using cash to control her minions, most recently when she paid Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) to murder Graham Foster.

Taking to Twitter, Emmerdale fans predicted Jamie would break Belle’s heart, as he morphed into his villainous mother step by step.

One said: “Trying to buy Belle off?? Just like your mamma. A mini male Kim.”

A second added: “James, paying people off is such a Tate move!”

“I called it a few days ago.. Jamie is morphing into his nasty Mother!!” remarked a third.

Threatening to tell his wife Andrea (Anna Nightengale) about their relationship, Belle said: “She deserves to know what kind of low life she’s married to.”

Trying to calm her down, Jamie insisted he was no longer sexually attracted to Andrea and tried to rebuff her advances in bed.

The lovebirds ended the exchange with a make-out session between the haystacks – hinting their romance is far from over.

Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
