The number of remote live feeds installed in over 20 cities around the world in order to virtually gather over a hundred nominees.
“It’s like 130 sports matches at the same time,” Ian Stewart, one of the show’s executive producers, said ahead of the ceremony. “Get your head around that fact. Each one of those is coming from people’s homes, hotels and backyards.”
The video quality ranged from high to low, but there were few technical glitches.
