They famously came to blows on The Only Way is Essex, but Ferne McCann says there is no bad blood between her and Gemma Collins.
One of the pair’s most well-known arguments was when the GC accused Ferne of not earning her ‘divaship’, but Ferne says the pair have been in touch over lockdown and are even planning to meet up soon.
“Our fights were a very long time ago,” Ferne tells the Daily Star.
“I actually wrote to her in lockdown and said her house, which she lives in with her brother, was gorgeous. She was like ‘babe, you have to come round when we are properly out of lockdown’.

“I think Gemma always has great craic.”
Ferne is also very close to her other TOWIE peers Sam and Billie Faiers, and recently had a staycation in a house in the UK with them.
“Arg is also one of my good mates,” she adds. “We do video calling quite regularly. I like to keep in contact with as many people as I possibly can.

“TOWIE was the start of my whole career. I look back at that chapter of my life and have really fond memories of it.”
But Ferne admits that when she started out in TOWIE seven years ago, she wasn’t always herself. “I did a lot of people-pleasing in my early 20s and wasn’t 100% myself. But I want everything I do from now on to be genuine,” she says, as she turns 30.
“I also know the people I want to surround myself with. It’s a cliché but it’s true.
“I’m at a place where I am content and at my healthiest. I’m currently the best I’ve ever felt.”
Ferne says she’s planning to celebrate her big day with a series of socially-distant events. “I’m not just celebrating on the day itself, that would be boring,” she laughs.
“I’ve accepted I wouldn’t be able to celebrate my 30th quite how I initially wanted to, but with the weather being so beautiful I have lovely plans to be outdoors with family.
“I’m also going for dinner which is going to be utterly gorgeous as we haven’t been able to do it for such a long time.”
Tomorrow the former The Only Way is Essex star is also celebrating her milestone birthday by launching her fitness and wellbeing app, Embodyment.

It includes workouts such as HIIT, yoga and dance classes, as well as nutrition tips and recipes and guided meditations.
“I want to go on this mission to help women feel healthy and great about themselves,” says Ferne.
“With everything that has been going on, I know a lot of people feel nervous about going back to the gym. I personally don’t want to return to it, I love doing exercise at home.
“If people sign up to Embodyment, it will help them fit in exercise whenever they can, whether they have five minutes or 20 minutes. I’ve poured my blood, sweat and tears into this platform, and I feel it ticks all the boxes.”

In lockdown, Ferne said she’s been doing a lot of “self-work”.
“It’s a bit cringe, and I know a lot of people will think ‘pass me the sick bucket’, but it’s genuinely what I’ve been up to,” she says.
“I’ve been writing gratitudes every single night and meditating daily, as well as reading a lot. I’ve also done a lot of walks with my family, and my daughter Sunday.”
Ferne often posts photos to her 2.6 million Instagram followers, and admits that she has been trolled during lockdown.

“Recently, I got a message from somebody saying ‘why don’t you use your celebrity status to do something beneficial’,” she says.
“I couldn’t believe it. I’ve been doing a lot of work talking about taboo subjects in women’s health and raising awareness, such as discussing my recent problems so openly,”
Ferne, who was diagnosed with a prolapsed bladder after Sunday’s birth, says.
“You just can’t win. I find it so outrageous that so many people have opinions on how women should look and behave. Women don’t have it easy.”
Ferne also split with her partner, New York-based financial trader Albie Gibbs right at the start of lockdown. “This was another adult decision from me,” she says.

“It was amicable, but with the long-distance, it really wasn’t working.
Being single in lockdown was so bleak, but I wasn’t envious of my friends in relationships because they were also tested in that situation.
“Dating right now isn’t on the top of my priority list. I’ve had a few offers recently, but I just want to focus on myself for now.”
In 2015, Ferne came third on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. Recently, the Daily Star covered a story that said the jungle could be moving to a remote Scottish island amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

“So much goes into the show, and if it has got to be filmed in Scotland so it can go ahead, then that is what needs to happen,” she says.
“With Ant and Dec, the trials, I’m sure it will be just as entertaining.
Maybe they will eat the Loch Ness Monster! But of course the whole I’m a Celeb, being through it myself, you just imagine Australia.
“The jungle was one of the peaks of my career. I felt like the luckiest girl alive to go through that experience.”
A reality TV show Ferne is hoping to do is Strictly Come Dancing. “From the beginning, I’ve wanted to do it,” she admits.
“Since my school days, I’ve always wanted to perform on stage and this would be a big dream. When else do you get to do something like that? I’d love to be asked.”
