Flash star Logan Williams’ cause of death has been confirmed by the teenager’s devastated mother as a fentanyl overdose.
Logan died at just aged 16 in April following a three year battle with his addiction to opioids.
The star, who played Barry Allen in the first two seasons of The Flash, had tragically been battling the addiction since he was 13 and promised his mum just days before his death that he wanted to get clean.
His mum, Marlyse Williams, has now spoken out for the first time since her son’s death as she vowed his death wouldn’t be in vain as she seeks to help other parents and kids with the deathly addiction.
Marlyse told the New York Post how she had helped her son make his dreams come true when he said aged nine that he wanted to be an actor.

The sales rep managed to secure him an agent and was left stunned when he landed a part in a TV movie, saying she continued to help him juggle school as well.
Before he landed his biggest role in Flash he starred in the sci-fi series The Whispers, Supernatural and the Hallmark series When Calls The Heart.
But devastatingly, the teenager wasn’t coping with the spotlight, and how mum discovered he was smoking marijuana when was 13.
Logan took a break from his acting career but was secretly still taking drugs which soon turned to using the powerful pain medication fentanyl, which is used to treat cancer patients with severe pain.
Speaking to the publication, Marlyse recalled: “Logan was in complete denial because he was so ashamed.”

In a bid to do everything she could to get him off the addictive opioid, she even remortgaged their family home so she could send him to rehab in the US.
In 2019 he was sent to another rehab facility in Canada after he relapsed and spent his time living in a group home before he died.
Talking to the newspaper, his mum said: “I did everything humanly possible — everything a mother could do,” his mum told the newspaper.
“I did everything but handcuff him to me to try to keep him safe.”
She went on: “Logan was always hoping to get back into acting, music or whatever future he wanted. We didn’t want people to know because of the judgment, because of the embarrassment, because of the criticism. We wanted it to go away.”

Upsettingly, four days before he died from the fatal overdose he told his mum over dinner that he wanted out of the addiction.
“He said to me, ‘Mom, I’m gonna get clean. I’m going to get better. And I want my new life to start.’ I just know the last thing we said to each other was, ‘I love you,'” she recalled.
Less than a week later, Marlyse was called to the funeral home to identify her 16-year-old son.
“Seeing him like that was as gut-wrenching as hearing that he died,” she said.
“It was horrific. Horrific. He was cold. But I have to say I feel like he was restless and he needed me to tell him it’s OK to let go and that the pain is over and he doesn’t have to hurt anymore.”
