Gemma Collins: Diva on Lockdown best moments – including flashing the Royals

It was a show nobody thought they needed – until Diva on Lockdown aired and Gemma Collins brought her sass, wit, and attitude to ITVBe once more.

The 38-year-old was filming for her second series of Diva Forever when Covid-19 brought the UK to a standstill, with Brits urged to stay inside and filming for TV shows was halted.

Never missing a money-spinning trick, The GC ordered her film crew home and rigged her home full of cameras to share an insight into how she’s adjusting to life indoors.

In true Gemma Collins fashion, the three-part programme presented an array of golden moments including getting stuck in a pair of waders and taking part in a Joe Wicks workout – albeit only for a minute. Truly golden TV.

Demanding an OBE for entertaining the nation

Gemma Collins made a very bold claim during an episode when she thought she should be awarded an OBE for “entertaining the nation”.

The TOWIE star was enjoying a hand massage from her sister-in-law Dawn when the duo praised Capitan Tom Moore for his fundraising efforts after the war hero raised £33million for the NHS after he walked 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday.

After donating £1,000 to Captain Tom’s JustGiving page, talk turned to Gemma’s own accolades and she soon rang her assistant about how she could be praised for her entertaining.

She said: “The thing is I’ve been doing my bit for the nation. I wonder if in years to come I’ll be getting an OBE.

“I think at some point I need an OBE from the Queen as I’ve entertained the nation during Corona.

“If you could sort something out, write into HRH and stick me up for that at some point I’d be very appreciative. Make it happen hun.”

Taking part in a Joe Wicks session

With gyms closed for the foreseeable future in a bid to combat the spread of coronavirus, Gemma decided to work up a sweat in her own living room with a little help from The Body Coach aka Joe Wicks.

Wearing a silk two-piece, the Essex native was hardly dressed for the arduous 25-minute routine – and soon fell at the first hurdle.

Jumping around on the spot, she quickly suffered a wardrobe malfunction when her breasts seemingly escaped from her flimsy white vest.

Grabbing her chest, Gemma shouted: “Oh no, the boobs! I can’t jump at the minute.”

Amid the chaos, her top fell down and flashed her underwear as Gemma bravely carried on with the exercise – for another minute.

Getting stuck in a pair of waders

Gemma, who is staying with brother Russell and his family during lockdown, decided to help her older sibling clean out the pond, but somehow managed to get stuck into a pair of waders and absolutely stacked it.

With her brother giving her all the kit for the outdoor challenge, she tried to get on the knee-high boots but fell over and she struggled to the boots over her knees and to her chest.

Moving past ‘wader gate’, she clambered into the waist-deep murky water, but didn’t last long as she cried that she had felt a snake.

“I think there’s a f*****g snake,” she yelled as she tightly held onto her brother’s hand.

Russell wasn’t too reassuring: “There is a snake – but they don’t bite you.”

As ever, she soon bolted from the pond and decided to pop the kettle on instead.

Whacking her dog in the head with a bag full of Easter eggs

Frank suffered a blow to head when Gemma accidentally hit him with a bag of chocolate

On Easter Sunday, the family took part in an Easter egg hunt around the garden but it ended in carnage when poor dog Frank was bashed in the head with a bag full of chocolate.

Gemma decided to lift the mood by presenting her loved ones with mountains of chocolate – including her own brand of ‘divalicious’ chocolate bars.

After she successfully discovered the eggs planted around the lawn, Gemma celebrated her sweet treat haul by swinging her bag round and round, but failed to spot the family pooch running up the garden.

She accidentally whacked poor Frank in the head with the heavy bag, causing the dog to whimper and run off.

Using the word corona as a goodbye

Gemma made a visit to Brentwood high street just hours before the lockdown and came face-to-face with some fans, but due to social distancing wasn’t allowed to stop for a selfie.

Sharing some wise public advice, she shouted to them from across the street.

“Hello boys, can’t touch or hug.

“Keep washing the hands and keep going you know.”

Deciding not part with the usual bye, she remarked: “Corona.”

Inviting a bathroom supplier to spend lockdown with her

Prior to lockdown, Gemma swung by her local bathroom suppliers to piece out a new three-piece suite, but soon fell head over heels for the “fit salesman”.

She liked the eye candy so much, she invited the Italian-native, Ant Primo, to spend lockdown with her.

After she asked Ant to make her a cuppa, she remarked to the camera: “He ain’t gonna fancy me, he’s too good-looking.”

“He’s calm as well and I’m not calm. I’m coming in here like a weirdo.”

Following her shopping spree, she couldn’t’ help but try her luck and invited the handsome bloke to pop round to hers if he’s “feeling lonely”.

“I just want you to know, in times of lockdown, if you’re lonely or want some entertainment, feel free to come over.”

Ripping her dress when meeting Prince Charles

Gemma tried to cover up her tear by placing her bag over her bottom

Gemma made her way to the the Prince’s Trust Awards held at the Palladium, but suffered an awkward malfunction when her dress ripped on her bottom.

While her arrival was glamorous, her exit wasn’t, as she sheepishly left the star-studded bash with her handbag covering her rear.

As the TOWIE star boarded a waiting car, she exposed the large tear, which sat on the lower back of her shimmering floor-length gown.

Speaking to the camera, she proclaimed: “Guys, just to let you know, my dress has split at the back!”

After she was swamped by fans, Gemma exclaims: “Can you believe it? Prince Charles didn’t even get all of this!”

Narrator Angus Deayton mockingly responds: “That’s because Prince Charles split a hole in his trousers in front of the whole paparazzi.”
