Geordie Shore’s Holly Hagen took to her official social media account to hit out at online bullies for their horrid comments, one person even wished her to “die” from “coronavirus” because she had mentioned a night out with her pals.
In an earlier post on Instagram, Holly had got excited at the prospect of a night out on the town and told her fans that she “couldn’t wait to see her girls”.
This didn’t go down well with some of her so called fans and she later have to “block at least 10 people” on the digital platform.
Holly received a barrage of complaints from social media critics, who had issued hurtful messages following voicing her plans to catch up with friends.
Not being one to hold back and let keyboard warriors win, Holly took to her Instagram story to set the record straight, also exposing one perpetrator who had issued an abusive message.
Holly said: “Let me make this very clear. Our country is not on lock down. Having said that, I have postponed my work in London this month as I have to get multiple trains and tubes and they’re not the most hygienic at the best of times.
“Last night I posted that I can’t wait to see my girls and had to block at least 10 people messaging me “shouldn’t you be staying in.
“No we shouldn’t be. We are going for dinner and having girls night in an apartment.”
Holly verified that she and her girlfriends were taking necessary measures to stay safe, she added: “We have soap and water and Dettol and will be taking extra precautions.
“But until we are told to be in lock down stop telling us what we should and shouldn’t be doing.”
Continuing to vent she penned: “Businesses are suffering enough due to lack of custom. I have extremely limited contact with anyone. My boyfriend and my personal trainer.
“So please stop coming for me me when I’m doing exactly what our country has been advised.”
The haters comments land just days after it was declared that the coronavirus had now become a global pandemic, with many European countries closing their borders.
Yesterday 14 further people died, taking the death toll in the UK to 35 people.
It was also reported today that cases grew within 24 hours, with a further 171 people now confirmed to have the virus, making it 1,543 to have now tested positive.
However, the government did warn earlier in the week that is more likely that there are 5,000 to 10,000 people who have the virus but have not yet been tested.
