Holly Hagan fought a secret three-year battle with bulimia.
She had the eating disorder while appearing in Geordie Shore.
Holly said: “Bulimia can become really addictive. It started as a one-off and then just got worse and worse.
“I started to think, ‘I could eat those crisps because I can just be sick’ or, ‘I can have that takeaway because I will just be sick’.
“It became a really bad cycle. My teeth were going yellow and my throat was constantly burning. It was horrible.
“At the time I didn’t really think it was a big issue. It was just the life we were in. I didn’t even see what I was doing as a bad thing.”
Holly developed the dangerous condition after being targeted by online trolls.
She said: “When you are called a fat slag on the internet for 10 years you try and do anything you can to lose weight and make yourself thin.

“Because we were in the Geordie Shore house and found it hard to exercise and have a healthy diet, I felt like I had to find a way to stay thin and keep off the weight I had lost in between filming.
“Sometimes I was sick about seven times a day.”
Holly finally got help after an intervention by the Geordie Shore production team.
She said: “As soon as the producers found out we were dragged into a meeting. They were really upset and concerned.

“They made me speak to a counsellor. The producer at the time was a mother, so she was really concerned about me.
“They really took care of me and got me help.
“I don’t have those issues anymore, but I do now understand I had an eating disorder.
“I hope by speaking out other people can see that it is not worth it.”
