Notting Hill’s carnival spirit will be full swing this weekend at its first ever virtual event.

Beyonce’s designer Melissa Simon-Hartman has created bright and bold costumes.

Telly chef Levi Roots will be cooking up a storm and award winning Brazilian band Batala will perform.

People can watch events, DJ sets on different stages and cooking demos online by signing up to Notting Hall Carnival 2020: Access All Areas pass for free.

It has been created by Samsung to showcase its unrivalled 8K technology, bringing to life all the “Colours of the Carnival” in glorious detail.

Featuring content from the Access All Areas’ digital schedule, it include performances from percussionists, steel drums, dancers and parades intercut with extracts from a series of mini films shot in 8K.

You will see Levi Roots cooking up a Carnival-inspired feast, a Brazilian samba-reggae band, and Soca dancers featuring the incredible costumes of London-based designer Melissa Simon-Hartman, who designed pieces for Beyonce’s Black is King visual album.

Samsung, official partner of Notting Hill Carnival 2020: Access All Areas has created an exclusive trailer and series of mini-films, highlighting their 8K technology which enables you to ‘Shoot in 8K’ with the Samsung Galaxy S20 and ‘Watch in 8K’ with QLED 8K. The content will officially launch this year’s Carnival with a live countdown on the Piccadilly Screen, and will be available to watch in 8K online at www.NHCarnival.org
