Glee star Kevin McHale has broken his silence on his co-star Naya Rivera who is currently missing after a boating trip with her son.
Naya, who is an American actress best known for playing Santana Lopez in the musical TV series Glee, vanished last week.
She was out on Lake Piru, California, with her four-year-old son Josey with a boat that she had rented on July 8.
According to authorities, her son has said she disappeared after being in the water and police have presumed her dead since July 9, one day after her disappearance.
Josey was found on the same day she went missing asleep on the vessel.

And now her co-star Kevin, who played Artie Abrams on Glee, has said he is “shattered” over her disappearance.
Writing on Twitter to his 1.3million followers, Kevin wrote: “I cannot begin to understand what Naya’s family must be feeling.
“I know the rest of us are completely shattered, but not without hope.
“Please respect her family and their privacy in this moment. Please refrain from judging those who don’t show their pain on social media.”

His message comes after fellow Glee star Lea Michelle deleted her Twitter account at the weekend after facing trolling over her strained relationship with Naya.

After Lea deleted her account, co-star Amber Patrice Riley tweeted to her 1.1million followers: “Show some respect.
“All our energy is going toward helping find Naya and praying for her safe return and for her family.

“No one owes anyone online a performance of grief. This is very real and devastating. Focus on Naya and her family. Not us. We don’t matter right now.”
A spokesperson for Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement released yesterday that search and rescue workers had continued their search following her disappearance.
“In today’s search for Naya Rivera, cabins and outbuildings in the surrounding area will be checked once again, as well as the shoreline.
“This has been part of the ongoing search effort since her disappearance on Wednesday afternoon. Boat crews continue to scan the lake.”
