GMB and Piers Morgan spark 312 Ofcom complaints in four days as viewers fume

Good Morning Britain and Piers Morgan have sparked 312 complaints to Ofcom after viewers accused the show of “rudeness”.

According to reports, the television watchdog has received a vast array of complaints from viewers as opinionated host Piers Morgan, 55, continues to cause controversy.

The most recent incident receiving backlash was when Piers refused to let co-star Susanna Reid read out a statement from the government as ministers have ‘boycotted’ the show.

The former Britain’s Got Talent judge stuck his fingers in his ears, saying: “If they’re boycotting us, I’m going to boycott their stupid little statements,” with his declaration reportedly resulting in 221 complaints.

Last week, Morgan received more backlash after he quizzed Dizzee Rascal about the Black Lives Matter movement.

The presenter’s grilling resulting in the rapper to refusing to become “the black spokesperson” for the show.

Dizzee said: “You never let anyone speak, you’re not going to do this to me mate.”

Later in the interview, Piers accused Dizzee of acting “aggressively,” to which he responded: “I’ve become the aggressive black man!”

An Ofcom representative told The Sun that a number of the complaints related to “perceived rude conduct by the presenters”.
