Good Morning Britain viewers were horrified on Wednesday as a Gary Numan’s wife Gemma O’Neil turned the air blue with some fruity language.
Rocker Gary, 62, appeared on the latest edition of the ITV breakfast show alongside his “superfan” wife Gemma via a video link from Los Angeles.
The couple chatted to GMB hosts Adil Ray and Ranvir Singh about their marriage and how they first met but things took a racy turn.
Gemma accidentally used some X-rated language as she talked about sleeping with her husband.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Did Gary Numan’s wife just say she gave him a pity s**g at 8am on Good Morning Britain.”
Another added: “I wasn’t expecting to hear about pity s**s pre 9am.”
A third person said: ‘She said pity s**g!”
While a fourth wrote: “Too much info love. What’s this about?”
Gary married Gemma, a member of his fan club, in 1997 and the pair have three daughters Raven, Persia and Echo.
Gemma was 11 years old when she decided she wanted to grow up to be Mrs Gary Numan.
She told her teachers it didn’t matter if she passed any exams because her life path with her pop idol was already set.
The pair met when Gemma asked the frontman of band Tubeway Army for a picture, with the couple going on to get married as an attraction built between them.
Gemma told GMB hosts Ranvir and Adil how she wrote to Jimmy Saville at Jim’ll Fix It to ask if he could fix their wedding, and the couple have now been married 23 years.
Gary was £600,000 in debt at one point in his life and on the verge of going under but he credits Gemma, who is 10 years his junior, for “rescuing” him.
He said: “She believed in me, when no one else did. I was struggling with the music; my confidence was at an all-time low.
“I thought my success was a fluke. I had a real hang-up about my lack of ability. I don’t know what would have happened without her.”
Gemma also opened up about her cosmetic surgery horror as one of her breasts made an unexpected exit from her body while she was in bed with Gary.

“I had massive boobs, so I had reduction after reduction,” Gemma said.
“Friends with implants had an easy time, but mine have always been problematic.
“The anchor stitches came undone and everything was oozing out. Gary had to pull it all back together and tape me up before driving me back to the hospital.”
Gary entered the music industry as the frontman of the new wave band Tubeway Army and is considered the pioneer of electric music.
In the early days of the musician’s career, at just 21, Gary was diagnosed as autistic and later diagnosed as having Asperger syndrome.
His commercial popularity peaked in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits including Are ‘Friends’ Electric?” and Cars.
Gary maintains a cult following and has sold over 10 million records.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6.30am
