GMB's Piers Morgan fumes at guest to 'stop talking' in furious coronavirus row

Things got heated between a Good Morning Britain guest and Piers Morgan on the ITV show today.

Piers, who had Susanna Reid back alongside him on the show today, told a GMB guest to “stop talking” and told him he was “irritating” in a fiery clash over coronavirus.

The guest, named Peter, said he thought the lockdown measures were too extreme, saying people were being “imprisoned” and that it was recking businesses and the economy.

Piers, 55, has been very vocal online and on GMB that he thinks the complete opposite and that people need to take the threat of coronavirus seriously.

He made this clear as he argued with Peter.

While interrupting him, Piers fumed: “We’ve given you plenty of time. We have four guests, be considerate.”

However Peter hit back saying he hadn’t been given much time to air his views.

Piers then raged: “Stop being irritating for the sake of it, it’s pointless,” before he added: “Stop talking.”

Peter wasn’t the only person Piers clashed with on the show today though.

He also took on co-star Susanna, 49, Susanna, as the pair argued minutes into the show.

Piers called for more coronavirus shaming’ to happen by the authorities and members of the public to catch people breaking the government’s rules.

However, Susanna argued back: “I don’t like the corna-shaming of them,” when talking about Derbyshire Police’s controversial viral drone video of people walking out in the Peak District.

The panel were discussing coronavirus lockdown measures in the UK

Then after Susanna insisted she can sympathise with those in lockdown, Piers raged: “Do you understand, people are already moaning we it is really not tough?

“Just open the beer or wine and get a grip and grow a pair.

“Realise we need to toughen up a bit and get a bit of resilience and perspective.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
