Gogglebox star Tom Malone Jr has attended a Black Lives Matter protest in London – urging for a “fair and equal society”.
Tom, who appears on the Channel 4 show with his family, took to his Twitter account to inform his 61,000 followers that he attended the protest.
Sharing a photo of himself standing in the crowds, Tom held up a cardboard sign which featured the global hashtag “#BlackLivesMatter”.

Tom tweeted: “It’s our duty as people of privilege to use that privilege to shine a light on societies injustices.
“To do our best to promote and encourage change towards a more fair and equal society. #BlackLivesMatter.”
The protests come following the death of African-American George Floyd.
George, who is a black man, was killed by white police officer Derek Chauvin as footage showed him kneeling on George’s neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds.

He has now been arrested and charged with third degree murder.
Prior to Derek’s arrest, riots and peaceful protests from New York to Florida erupted and have continued for days.
Despite praise over Tom’s post, the star was accused by some of breaking social-distancing rules amid the coronavirus pandemic.
But the reality TV star very quickly snapped back to those who said him he was “other lives at risk”.
After one fan questioned Tom on his social-distancing, he replied: “To the social distance warriors in the comments.
“Please show me someone in this photo within 2 metres of me…and then when you can’t….f**k off.”
His followers rushed to praise him, one tweeted: “I thought it was you when I seen you at the protest, respect bro #BlackLivesMatter.”
A second added: “Yasss! Thank you for using your platform to spread awareness and thank you for uniting with us.”
