Gordon Ramsay was left fearing the worst for his furry friend when he was playing with his baby son, Oscar.
The famously outspoken chef was enjoying a run around with his one-year-old, but their playtime came to an abrupt halt when he thought their pet cat had died.
With Oscar causing havoc and refusing to put on his shoes, he accidentally bumped into a chair where the cat was snoozing, however, the animal didn’t react.
Uploading a short clip to Instagram on Friday evening, the Hell’s Kitchen star filmed the tot as he tried to persuade him to put on his shoes, so they could leave.

Gordon asked: “Excuse me, hey, where’s your shoe?”
However, Oscar had other ideas as he was seen fashioning just one shoe as he continued to walk around the house.
It soon descended into a chase, with Gordon following Oscar, but their fun ended when his son accidentally knocked into an armchair – but their pet didn’t move or wake from its slumber.
Briefly panicking, he asked: “Oops, the cat… Is it dead? Is it…”
Fearing the worst, he gently patted the cat on the head, with the feline’s ears finally moving.
After the cat flinched, Gordon breathed a sigh of relief, and said: “Oh no, it’s alive – thank god for that!”
Following the incident, he then pleaded with Oscar to pop his trainers on: “Where is your shoe? How can we go out if you haven’t got your shoes on?”

Playfully mocking the little one’s hair, Gordon quipped: “Hey, your hair looks like mine in Boiling Point.”
However, it’s not known if Oscar ever did put on his other shoe as they quickly finished before the big reveal.
Gordon and his family have been spending lockdown in Cornwall, angering locals who accused him of breaking the self-isolating rules.
But it seems the telly chef is having fun being stuck in the countryside with his family.
