Happy Mondays hellraiser Shaun Ryder says he feels “magnificently sexy” after getting hair loss treatment.

The 57-year-old Mancunian frontman has forked out up to £2,000 “sorting his nugget”.

The 24 Hour Party People hitmaker has been undergoing scalp micropigmentation treatment after losing all of his hair.

He revealed his new buzz cut – also known as a hair ­tattoo – ­after admitting his struggles with alopecia.

The I’m A Celeb 2010 runner-up is undergoing non-surgical treatment at Skalp clinic in Manchester. He said: “I’ve been sorting out my nugget. I’ve been showing my head off to everybody.”

“I’m going to go home looking like super duper magnificently sexy tonight.”

Shaun revealed his new buzz cut in a video on Instagram. He said: “Well here I am back for session two at Skalp with the wonderful fantastic Dean sorting out my nugget. I’m going to go home looking like super duper magnificently sexy tonight.”

On a YouTube video he said: “I’m feeling human again, don’t look like a big toe.”

The dad-of-six revealed he had lost all his hair after taking testosterone injections for an underactive thyroid for years.

The former face of the Madchester scene said in 2018: “Everything – eyebrows, pubic hair, everything.”

Earlier this month, the rocker revealed he jokingly calls himself Uncle Fester from the Addams Family.
